Let's Eat Quest: Bread Winner

Bread Winner quest - Available from level 6 onwards

This quest unlocks the cooking hobby and is without a time limit!

Note: some of the times mentioned might differ from what you seen in your game. Objects of higher quality (more stars) take less time. To see the quality ratings, check the home-store or tap the object itself (the rating is shown above the name of the object at the top of the action menu).

This quest has been last verified on the Family Furnishings update (July 2019)

1. Watch Sim Chef on TV - 2 min 24 sec
2. Buy a stove - completes immediately if you already have one
3. Cook Bacon and Eggs on a Stove - 5 minutes
4. Eat Bacon and Eggs - 10 mins "Grab a Plate option"
5. Wash the Dishes - 3 seconds
6. Search bookshelf - 2 hours 10 mins (3-star!)
7. Buy a toaster - completes immediately if you already have one
(8. Have two sims in the same house - immediately) = Cancelled
9. Cook cheese and tomato on toast - 1 minute
10. Eat cheese and tomato toast - 10 minutes
11. Invite a Sim over - immediately
12. Cook burgers - 20 minutes (You need to be at level 2 in the cooking hobby to unlock the burgers)
13. Call to Meal - immediately
14. Rest your eyes on a couch - 4 mins

  (Mmm, one of your Sims is feeling peckish. When’s the last time they had a sturdy home-cooked meal? Sim Chef's on TV.

2. Buy a stove - completes immediately if you already have one
  (Before any cooking can be done, your Sim is going to need a stove! Head to the Home Store and under the Kitchen tab choose one of the stoves on offer! Your Sim can’t wait!
Buy a Stove now.)

3. Cook Bacon and Eggs on a Stove - 5 minutes
  (On Sim Chef, Sims watch other Sims cooking - the camera follows them, 24hrs a day. Oddly captivating, and it's making you hungry!
Make some bacon and eggs on the stove!
NOTE: To make Bacon and Eggs tap the Stove, choose the Cooking menu then tap the Bacon and Eggs icon!)

4. Eat Bacon and Eggs - 10 mins "Grab a Plate option"
  (That smells delicious! Time to tuck in!
Tap on the plate and choose ‘Grab a Plate'. Grub's up!)

5. Wash the Dishes - 3 seconds
  (That tasted great! Time to clean up! Food safety is no joke. NOTE: if a sink isn't available, a bin will suffice.
Tap on the plate and choose 'Clean up' to clear away the dishes!)
 
6. Search bookshelf - 2 hours 10 mins (3-star!)
  (Ol' Grandma Sim made a book of secret family recipes called 'Frontier Vittles'. It must be in a bookcase somewhere.
Search a bookcase for 'Frontier Vittles'! NOTE: If you don't have a bookcase yet, you can find one under the 'Living Room' section of the Home Store.)

7. Buy a toaster - completes immediately if you already have one
  (You found Grandma Sim's cookbook 'Frontier Vittles'! Whew, it's dusty. The first recipe is for something the old timers called 'Cheese and Tomato on Toast'! Whoa! You'll need a Toaster, though.
Buy a Toaster from the Kitchen section of the Home Store!)

(8. Have two sims in the same house - immediately) = Cancelled
  (Crumbs! Before your Sim embarks on this toasted endeavour, they should invite a friend over to share it with!
Have 2 Sims in the house!)

9. Cook cheese and tomato on toast - 1 minute
  (Gee whiz! 'Frontier Vittles' says you put bread in the toaster, hit the button, and *bam*! You get Toast! Giddy up and cook some Cheese and Tomato on Toast!
Get to the Cooking Menu via any stove or a Toaster!)

10. Eat cheese and tomato toast - 10 minutes
  (Grandma's Cheese and Tomato on Toast recipe is ready to be tasted! Tap on the plate and choose ‘Grab a Plate'.)
 
11. Invite a sim over - immediately
  (Oh... OH. OHH! Cheese and Tomato on Toast's SO scrumptious, your Sim could eat nothing but savoury bread products all day! They're getting good at this cooking caper! Time to show Sim Town what they can do!
Invite another Sim over!) 
 
12. Cook burgers - 20 minutes (You need to be at level 2 in the cooking hobby to unlock the burgers)
  (You feel a great disturbance... It's as if four hungry tummies suddenly rumbled inside your house! Your Sim looks up 'Tummy Rumbles' in the cookbook. It reads: 'Hungry guests? Grandma Sim's diagnosis: Burger!'
Cook some burgers via a Stove!
NOTE: Unlock Burgers at Level 2 of the Cooking Hobby)

13. Call to Meal - immediately
  (Success! The Burgers are ready and the smell is mouth-wateringly good. Call every Sim to eat! Tap the plate and choose 'Call to Meal'!
NOTE: The higher your Sim's cooking level, the more plates of food they make for each meal!)

14. Rest your eyes on a couch - 4 mins
  (Succulent, flavorsome, delectable. What's that spell? Grandma Sim's home-cooked burgers, obviously! Phew. After all that eating, your Sim need to relax and digest!
Have a Sim rest their eyes on a couch!)

Congratulations you've unlocked the cooking hobby. 

(When you complete the grid the first time you unlock Chopping Boards.)
